JONESBORO – The Blytheville Chickasaws are still looking for their first win of the season after dropping a 27-0 decision to previously winless Westside, Friday night.

Blytheville (0-5, 0-2 4A-3 conference) got off to a rocky start against the host Warriors (1-3, 1-1 4A-3) in the conference matchup.

Early in the opening quarter, the Blytheville punter was corralled in the end zone and fumbled. The Warriors recovered the fumble and scored to make it 7-0.

Westside added to its lead with a three-yard touchdown run at the 2:12 mark of the first quarter. The Chicks denied the two-point conversion to keep it 13-0.

Blytheville then fumbled and Westside recovered in Chickasaw territory, leading to a six-yard touchdown run with 11:15 left in the second quarter.

The PAT pushed the lead to 20-0.

Neither team got on the scoreboard the rest of the half.

Westside added to its lead on a pick-6 with 4:15 left in the third quarter.

The PAT made it 27-0.

The Chicks will host Highland on homecoming Friday night.
