Joe Nathan Jacobs Sr.

Joe Nathan Jacobs Sr. was born Sept. 29, 1959, to Samuel Lee Jacobs Sr. and Lady Mae Jacobs in Osceola. He departed this life on Wednesday Aug. 4, 2021, at Great Rivers Medical Center in Blytheville at the age of 61. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Joe worked as a code enforcer for the City of Blytheville.

Joe leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Gwen Jacobs of Blytheville; three daughters, Sharie Jacobs of Gosnell, Shannon Brown of Killeen, Texas, and Jalisa Burnett of Blytheville; five sons, Jeffery Jacobs of Raleigh, N.C., Jason Jacobs of Blytheville, Sammy Lee Yankaway of Hope Mill, N.C., Joe Nathan Jacobs Jr., and Jonathan Jacobs of Blytheville; four sisters, Nancy Alexander of Detroit, Mich., Joyce Johnson of Dallas, Texas, Earnestine Valiant of Osceola and Pearlie Ellis of St. Louis, Mo.; four brothers, Samuel Jacobs of Beaumont, Texas, Larry Jacobs of Blytheville, Arthur Jacobs of Clarksville, Tenn., and Melvin Jacobs of Cedar Hill, Texas; mother-in-law, Pastor Loraine Walker of Blytheville; 40 grandchildren, 19 grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 13, from 5-7 p.m. at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home Chapel , 634 W. Main Street, Blytheville. Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at Prince of Peace M.B. Church in Blytheville. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville.
