John Rudolph Lambert
John Rudolph Lambert, 95, of Cherokee Village, formerly of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
John was born in Blytheville to Roney and Evelyn Wheeler Lambert. He grew up in the Yarbro community and was a 1944 graduate of Blytheville High School. He served his country with honor in the United States Army during World War II. John was a former employee of Pepsi Bottling Company in Blytheville. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening and dancing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dollie Lambert, and second wife, Adele Lambert; son, Troy Lambert; stepdaughter, Silvia McCoy; brothers, Charles “Bud” Yarbro and Shirley “Jiggs” Yarbro; and sister, Iva Scott.
John leaves his children, Jean Wilson and her husband Larry of Cherokee Village, Sandra Webb and her husband Dee of DeWitt, Brenda Parra of Lake in the Hills, Ill., and Perk Lambert and his wife Pat of Searcy; stepchildren, Gloria Partain and her husband Pete of Bedford, Texas, David Cannon and his wife Tanya of Temple, Texas, and Bill Cannon and his wife Robin of Kersey, Colo.; brothers, John Lambert, Jr. and Jonathan Lambert; sisters, Carol Starkey, Rhonda Rather and Rita Hyatt; 20 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 7, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ron Wilcoxson officiating. Burial will be private.
