Rev. Mary Alice Miller

Rev. Mary Alice Miller, 80, of Osceola, died July 24, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was a member of St. Mark A.M.E. Church in Osceola and a retired minister. Ms. Miller was born April 10, 1941, in Dell to Louis Goss and Mattie Swapsie Wright. She was preceded in death by her parents; her special father, Roscoe Wright; one brother, Clarence Wright; one sister, Carrie Scott; one aunt, Carrie Jenkins; and one grandparent, Hattie Swapsie.

She is survived by one son, Kevin D. (Jennie) Goss of Grayson, Ga.; two daughters, Sherry (Willie) Young of Osceola and Linda Beecham of Driver; three brothers, Earnest Wright of West Memphis, Billy and Ronnie Wright of Osceola; two sisters, Lois Taylor of Benton Harbor, Mich., and Janice Cole of Plano, Texas; six grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, July 30, from 5-7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home Osceola. Funeral will be Saturday July 31, at 10 a.m. at Bethlehem M.B. Church in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Rev. Verlie Horton officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge.
