Lona Isabelle Julian Cronk

Lona Isabelle Julian Cronk, 95, of Southaven, Miss., formerly of Blytheville, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021, Desoto Healthcare Center in Southaven.

Lona was born in Grayridge, Mo., to the late William Lee and Harriett Elizabeth Julian. In 1942, she married Charles Richard Cronk, Sr. and they shared their lives together for 50 years and four months. She was retired from Eaker Air Force Base where she worked as a civil service employee and was a member of Grayridge General Baptist Church. Lona was a past Matron of the Blytheville Chapter 279 Order of the Eastern Star and was the past president of the Blytheville Chapter of the American Legion Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine siblings, Norval Julian, Raymond Julian, Chester Julian, Kenneth Julian, Ivan Julian, Norma Dillon, Harriett Julian, Irene Julian and Minnie Mae Collier; and daughter-in-law, Nadia Melmik Cronk.

Lona leaves her son, Charles Richard Cronk, Jr.; two grandsons, Michael Wayne Cronk and his wife Janice and Christopher Julian Cronk and his wife Brenda; one granddaughter, Lori Michelle Goins and Garrett; one great-granddaughter, Alexis Marie Cronk; a step-great-grandson, William Prince, all of the Olive Branch area; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 30, at 10 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
