Erma Jane DePriest
Erma Jane DePriest, 77, of Steele, Mo., passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Erma was born in Steele to Frank and Fannie Mae Littlejohn DePriest. She was a retired teacher and counselor for South Pemiscot High School and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Blytheville. Erma enjoyed her monthly book club and her every Friday night dinners with friends. She loved her family, friends and all of her former students.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Louis and Randall DePriest; and sister-in-law, Judy DePriest.
Erma is survived by her brother, Delbert DePriest and his wife Bennie of Steele; niece, Beth Krueger and her husband Ben of Spring, Texas; nephews, Raymond DePriest and his wife Kathy of Steele and Richard DePriest of Manila; great-nephews, Brent McCormack and his wife Kellie of Spring, Texas, Matthew Krueger and his wife Meghan of Tomball, Texas, and Justin DePriest and his wife LeeAnn of Charleston, S.C.; great-nieces, Kelsie Docherty and her husband Sean of New York City, and Christy DePriest of Columbus, Miss.; and sister-in-law, Emma Jean DePriest of Steele.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 22, at 10 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Mr. Ben Krueger and Rev. Zach Roberts officiating. There will be no visitation.
