Cathy Jean Hopper
Cathy Jean Hopper, 69, of Blytheville, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.
Cathy was born in Blytheville and was retired from Baptist Hospital where she worked as an LPN. She had an unwavering faith in God and was a faithful member of Ruddle Road Church of God. Cathy loved her church and also her dog BooBoo. Cathy was very artistic and enjoyed painting. Cathy loved being outdoors enjoying her flowers and bird watching. She wrote a book entitled Miracles in Red about two cardinals that she and her husband Walter named Clarence and Fannie Belle and how they brought so much joy into their lives by visiting them every day. Cathy loved her family unconditionally and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Cathy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Walter Hopper; children, Lynn Hopper and his wife Cheryl of Manila, Jeff Hopper and his wife Andrea of Blytheville and Amy Ketchum and her husband Lee of Blytheville; mother, Barbara Anderson of Blytheville; sisters, Stacey Nix of Memphis, Judi Daubitz of Dallas, Texas and Shirley Cavins of Blytheville; and grandchildren, Justin, Taylor, Levi, Ty, Ally, Hannah and Hailey.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 17, at 10:30 a.m. at Ruddle Road Church of God with Rev. Danny Pankey officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery.
