William Caldwell
William Caldwell was born Jan. 4, 1951 in Osceola to the late Money Mae Caldwell-Washington. William departed this life May 6, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. William graduated from Osceola High School in 1970. He attended Lane College in Jackson, Tenn., where he met and married the love of his life Pamela. To this union one son Christopher was born. William received his teaching degree where he taught school in Jackson and then moved to Blytheville and taught there for a while. He lived his last days in West Memphis. William confessed his faith in Christ at an early age at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Osceola. William had a love for family reunions, basketball, tennis, clothes, cars and food. He was always reaching for the next level in life.
William was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Caldwell; his mother, Money Mae Washington; two sisters, Clementine Malone and Mary Hill; three brothers, James Caldwell, Donnie Ray Falls and Larry Washington.
He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Christopher Caldwell; grandmother, Pearl Jones of Blytheville; two sisters, Virginia Washington and Dianne Washington, both of California; four brothers, Henry (Joyce) Caldwell and Elijah Washington, both of Fort Wayne, Ind., Pastor Lovie (Linda) Caldwell of Waterloo, Iowa, and Willie Caldwell of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one sister-in-law, Donella Falls of Osceola; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
One thing the family will truly miss is when we talked with William before he would hang up the phone, he always said, "Now let me pray for you." As a family we will continue to pray for each other.
Visitation will be Friday, May 14, from 10-11 a.m. with the funeral at 11 a.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Pastor Lovie Caldwell officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge.
