Nina Lou Goff
Nina Lou Goff, 71, of Sweeny Texas, former Manila resident, passed from this life Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at her home. Born in Rector, she was the daughter of the late David Ernest and Louise Edmond Vandivor. Before moving to St. Louis as a teenager, she attended Manila High School. Nina made her home in Texas over 40 years ago. She was the former owner/operator of Nina's Diner near Conroe, Texas. After closing the diner, she worked several years as a store manager for Family Dollar stores. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Dale Vandivor and Allen Vandivor, and two nephews.
She is survived by her son, Clint Goff (Lacey) of Conroe, Texas; her daughter, Renee Davis (Mike Zenker) of Sweeny, Texas; two brothers, Freddie Vandivor of Sebring, Fla., and Tommy Vandivor of Manila; four sisters, Eva Melton of Sebring, Fla., Anna Pearl Seeley of Saddle, Alice Faye Crouse of Corning and Flora Jo Thomas of Manila; four grandchildren, Patricia Dungan, Sylvia Trager, Hank Trager and Colt Moreno. She also leaves three great-grandchildren, Farrah Welch, Delilah Reagen Tascherry and Jerry Dean Williams
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 3, in the Manila Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila.
