A winter storm dumped several inches of snow on northeast Arkansas Sunday and Monday, falling on top of streets already iced over from last week’s winter weather event.
Another 4-8 inches of snow is expected to fall Wednesday, according to KAIT’s meteorologists.
Temperatures remained in the single digits Monday and Tuesday, prompting local energy companies to call on residents to reduce their usages as much as possible. Residents woke up to 1 degree weather Tuesday.
Several vehicles in Blytheville and the surrounding area became stuck in the snow, while traveling. Many businesses closed early Monday and either closed or offered reduced hours Tuesday.
All local schools pivoted to virtual learning Tuesday, with Gosnell announcing Monday it would also be virtual on Wednesday.
