Kenneth Wayne Lucy

Kenneth Wayne Lucy, 58, of Paragould, passed from this life Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, at the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. Born in Manila, he was raised in Leachville and was a 1981 graduate of Leachville High School. Kenneth had been a lifelong area resident until making his home in Paragould after he became ill in 2020. He had been employed by the LA Darling Company as well as Tenneco Manufacturing, both of Paragould. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars, but mostly just being with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, K.R. and Carmel Lucy, and his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Odell Davis.

Survivors include his son, Eric Wayne Lucy of Manila; his father, Bobby Dean Lucy (Barbara) of Sherwood; his mother, Dorothy Spurlock (Mike) of Paragould; his sister, Sherri Lucy Framela (Dale) of Kyle, Texas. He also leaves four grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, in the Leachville Cemetery with Rev. Mark Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. The family will receive visitors Sunday afternoon from 1 until 2:30 at the funeral home. In compliance with the state's directive regarding COVID-19, attendance will be limited and face masks and social distancing will be required inside the funeral home at all times.
