Dennis Lee Johnson

Dennis Lee Johnson was born Nov. 18, 1951 in Blytheville to the late Jessie Griffin and Dorothy Weeden. Dennis departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 69. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William Charles Kelly Griffin.

His life will be forever cherished by his five daughters, Cytos “Toy” Jenkins of Biloxi, Miss., Stephanie McChristain-Little of Blytheville, Deena Johnson-Reese of Swansea, Ill., Ashely “Denise” Johnson of Atlanta, Ga., and Jessica Johnson Hill of Belle Glade, Fla.; two sons, Dennis Lee Johnson Jr. and Jessie Lee Johnson, both of Belle Glade, Fla.; four sisters, Sandra Anthony-Rushin of Belleville, Ill., Kathy Weeden of Cahokia, Ill., Monica Garrett of Shiloh, Ill., and Debra Lester of Blytheville; two brothers, Michael Davis of Blytheville and George Weeden Jr. of Houston, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of other family members.

Visitation and service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 2, at New Mt. Olive M.B. Church from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Memory Garden Cemetery in Blytheville.
