Mark Hudson
Mark Hudson, 61, a lifelong resident of Blytheville, died after a brief illness at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock. He was the son of James H. (Jim The Barber) and Josephine Jarratt Hudson. Mark graduated from Blytheville High School in 1977. He was active in ROTC where he achieved the rank of Lt. Colonel by his senior year. He attended Arkansas State University and graduated from Park College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Mark loved rock music, especially KISS, and playing his electric guitars. Mark was the caretaker of his Mom until she died in 2015. Since that time, he has been caretaker and best friend to his Dad until he became ill at the end of November.
Mark was well versed in his parents’ health and sought to give them the best quality of life with his whole heart. He loved his family, especially his parents. Mark was a very private man and few saw the humorous, loving, and giving side of him like his family did.
Mark was preceded in death by his Mother, Jo Hudson, a sister, Jimmy Louise Gardner, and a nephew, John David Stuckey.
Mark is survived by his father, Jim Hudson, of Springfield, MO; two sisters, Donna (Jean) Taylor of Glendale, AZ; Janice (Keith) Cox of Springfield, MO; his niece, whom he adored, Robyn (Justin) Taft of Springfield, MO; two nephews, Artie Taylor of Phoenix, AZ and Tony Stuckey of Pontotoc, MO; two special cousins he was raised with; Leigh Kemp of Mt.
