Following an executive session Thursday night, the Armorel School Board voted unanimously to terminate Armorel School District nurse Wanda Lamon.
Lamon requested the hearing, but did not attend. Board members waited several minutes for her to arrive before going into executive session.
Armorel Superintendent Tiffany Morgan noted for legal reasons, she could not disclose the grounds for termination.
Morgan said the board heard testimony and considered evidence and deliberated in executive session.
Board member Scott Jowers made the motion to terminate Lamon’s contract and board member Jeff Hopper seconded the motion.
All five board members voted in favor of the motion.
Morgan said the district will advertise for a nurse.
