James Wesley Rogers
James Wesley Rogers, 76, of Osceola, died Nov. 14, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Etowah Pentecostal Church of God in Etowah. Mr. Rogers was born Feb. 16, 1943, in Etowah to William Wesley Rogers and Tildie Tennessee Kurtis Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert Lee Rogers; two sisters, Willie Russell and Nell Noah.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Rogers of Osceola; two sons, Douglas William Rogers (Crystal) of Etowah and Bob Rogers (Kim) of Baton Rouge, La.; one daughter, Barbara Carrol of Largo, Fla.; one sister, Elsie Tramell of Marked Tree; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 12-2 p.m. with the funeral at 2 p.m. at Etowah Pentecostal Church of God in Etowah. Burial will be at Garden Point Cemetery in Etowah with Bro. Freddy Adams officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge.
