Trunk or Treat in Walker Park
Trick or Treat 2020 Pandemic Edition hosted by Mailboxes and Beyond will be moving to Walker Park for its annual festivities on Halloween from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The event will be following COVID-19 guidelines as all volunteers and booth sponsors are expected to wear masks and gloves, while social distancing is also expected to be maintained.
It is also encouraged that each car only contains children from the same household and that children wear masks as well.
Parents are asked to keep children in their vehicles at all times with the exception of the optional photo booth. Each car will have the opportunity to detour through the tennis courts and capture this year’s Halloween moment free of charge.
Kentucky Street will be used as both the entrance and exit for the event and while booth sponsors will be set up along the walking trail. Any materials passed out along with candy from the booth sponsors should be prepared ahead of time with gloves and placed in a pre-sealed bag to limit contact with the public.
For organizations unable to attend, paid sponsorships are available as well to purchase more candy for the children if needed. If not, additional funds from the event will be donated to the Thanksgiving Community Feeding Program.
