Matthias James O’Neil

Matthias James O’Neil of Blytheville was born Oct. 13, 1955, in Sterling, Ill., to the late Thomas O’Neil and the late Virginia Price O’Neil. He was a salesman and a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse. Mr. O’Neil passed away on Aug. 22, 2020 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 64. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas O’Neil, his mother Virginia Price O’Neil, and one brother John O’Neil.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Shannon O’Neil of Blytheville; two sons, Ryan O’Neil of St. Louis, Mo., and James O’Neil of Jonesboro; one daughter, Shannon O’Neil of St. Louis, Mo.; four brothers, Dennis O’Neil of Sterling, Ill., Joseph O’Neil of Leavenworth, Kan., Timothy O’Neil of Maryland and Michael O’Neil of New Jersey; two sisters, Ellen O’Neil of Wisconsin and Suzanne O’Neil of Alaska; and six grandchildren.

The visitation will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Grace Life Church in Blytheville with the funeral immediately following at 11 a.m. with Bro. Ezekiah Corley, Bro. Sam Fulkerson and Bro. Robert White officiating. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home, Blytheville. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to Flo & Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro.
