Ernest “Gene” Cook

Ernest “Gene” Cook of Trumann departed this life Saturday Aug. 15, 2020, at the family residence at the age of 50 years, 1 month and 25 days. He was born June 21, 1970, in Jonesboro and lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was a 1989 graduate of Trumann High School and a merchandiser for Coca-Cola and attended Eastside Baptist Church. He was a family man and loved working. Ernest was preceded in death by one son, Dakota Cook, and his mother, Christine Moss.

He is survived by his wife, Shonda Cook of the home; two sons, Christian Cook of Cottage Hills, Ill., and Levi Cook of the home; daughter, Shelby Cook, of the home; one grandson, Hayden Cook; one brother, Randy Bossert of Hot Springs; two sisters, Carol and Lynda Cook.

Visitation was Monday, Aug. 17, at Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann. Services and burial were private under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann.
