Ruby Hodge
Ruby Jeanne Hodge, 85, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 13, 2020, in Gosnell.
Ruby was born in Fayette County, Tenn., on June 5, 1935 to William T. and Maggie Fultz Davis. She was united in marriage to Jimmy Lynn Hodge on Jan. 8, 1953. Ruby worked at the optometry office of Dr. James Guard, as a Century 21 Real Estate broker and for Don Smith Realty, and as a manager of Sports Hall in Osceola and Jonesboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lynn Hodge; her parents; and two grandsons, Mark Brandon and Stephen Michael Bond.
Ruby leaves her family to cherish her memory. Her children: her daughter, Cindy Akin and her husband Dr. Gordon Akin of Jonesboro, son, Jimmy Hodge II and his wife Cynthia of Caruthersville, Mo.; her siblings: brother, W.T. Davis and his wife Ann of Brookland, sister, Louise Graves and her husband Wayne of Atlanta, Ga.; her four grandchildren, Dr. Heather Southard and her husband Stephen of Jonesboro, Dr. Lauren Hodge and Dr. Gray Hodge of Caruthersville, Dr. Chase Hodge and his wife Cassie of Blytheville; her four great-grandchildren, Brandon and Blakely Southard and McKenna and Mary Beth Hodge.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 10:30 a.m. in Elmwood Cemetery with Dr. Max Briley officiating.
