Jessie Lee James, Sr.
Jessie Lee James, Sr. 64, of Jonesboro, died July 12, 2020, at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. He was a master welder and of the Baptist faith. Mr. James was born Jan. 31, 1956, in Osceola to Eddie B. and Christine Williams James. He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie B. James; two brothers, Willie James and Larry James; two sisters, Rose Mary Dunn and Matilda Jefferson.
He is survived by his mother, Christine James of Jonesboro; three sons, Jessie Jacob James, Jr. of Osceola, Joshual James of Jonesboro and Jalen James of Peoria, Ill.; three daughters, Jetaun Shariss James of Chicago, Ill., Paris Sharie Moche James of Jonesboro and Jaleecia Lee James of Peoria, Ill.; three brothers, Harold (Lisa) James, David (Mary Alice) James and Tommy James of Osceola; four sisters, Earnestine (William) Slaughter of St. Louis, Mo., Patricia (Wayne) Moore and Leatha (Keith) Voss of Jonesboro and Annie Tate of Osceola; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 17, at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Pastor Harold James officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge.
