1,000 boxes of food to be distributed Friday morning

Two local churches will be the distribution sites of food boxes on Friday.

Beginning at 9 a.m., Friday, local pastor Gary Tobar, a Republican candidate for Arkansas House District 55, and others plan to distribute 1,000 boxes of food to feed over 4,000 Arkansans in Blytheville at The Pentecostal Power Church of Everlasting Truth and Grace Life Church.

He also helped distribute 1,150 boxes of healthy meals in early June.

Tobar said, “Families have been decimated due to the financial strains and economic uncertainty of this pandemic. I thank God for placing us here and now, where we are blessed with the ability to help our brothers and sisters. It is our responsibility to rise to the occasion.”
