Ruby Lucille (Cain) Cleveland
Ruby Lucille (Cain) Cleveland, 93, of Blytheville, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Ruby was born in Cooter, Mo., to Charley and Louise (Nelson) Cain. She graduated from Gosnell High School in 1946. Shortly afterwards, she began studying hair styling and began her long career as a hairdresser in Blytheville. She retired in 1991. Ruby enjoyed being and working outside in her yard. In the winter, she would engage in working puzzles and doing count cross-stitch, and making and framing beautiful picture scenes. Ruby joined First Baptist Church on Aug. 3, 1986. She loved her church and the Seekers Sunday school class. She was a very faithful member until she moved to Stonebridge Assisted Living in April 2018.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Curby Cleveland; her parents; and one sister, Rebecca Ruth.
Ruby leaves two sisters, Opal Elizabeth Doyle of Blytheville and Stella M. Bohaning of Jacksonville, Fla.; four nephews, L. Michael Bohaning of Jacksonville, Fla., C. Gregory Bess of Hardy, Jeffrey A. Bess of Longview, Texas, and Rodney Doyle of Oakdale, Calif.; and niece, Deborah Kay Pate of Blytheville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 20, at 10 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ron Wilcoxson officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
