Tommy Williams

Tommy Williams, 89, of Leachville, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020. He was born Jan. 11, 1931, in Shirley to the late Clyde and Ella Barnum Williams. Tommy loved to work and being a farmer especially during harvest time. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

He was also preceded in death by two sons, Steven Todd Williams and Joe Wayne Williams, and two granddaughters, Rebecca Michelle Williams and Julie Ann Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Vela Williams; his children and their spouses, Patty and Kenny Jackson of Leachville, Iretha and Larry Holcomb of Paragould and Rickey and Tina Williams of Light; two sisters, Mary Lou Robertson of Corpus Christy, Texas, and Genevieve Lane of Monette; a brother, Waymon Williams of Monette; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until noon Friday, June 5, at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould. Interment will follow.
