Calvin May

Calvin May, 89, of Manila, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020, at his home.

Calvin was born in Manila to Noa and Lucille Garrett May. He was retired from Southwire and a member of Little River Baptist Church. Calvin loved being outdoors fishing or riding his bicycle. He loved to talk on his cellphone and watching court proceedings at Manila City Hall.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Geraldine May; his parents; two sons, Kenny Steven May and Frankie Seaton; grandson, Arthie Kemp; and sister, Louise Simpson.

Calvin leaves seven children, Karen May Holland of Osceola, Linda May Clifton of Osceola, Wanda Linebarger (Charles) of Bryant, Eldon Seaton (Debbie) of Parson, Tenn., Sandra Hayes (Williford) of Parson, Tenn., Danny Seaton of Burdette and Dewayne Seaton of Burdette; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 1, at 11 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Holifield officiating. Burial followed in Elmwood Cemetery.
