Jannette Sanders Day
Jannette Sanders Day, 70, passed away at her home in Blytheville. She was born June 17, 1949, in Armorel and was the daughter of LC and Ella Lewis Sanders. Jannette was a graduate of Armorel High School and was of the Baptist faith, she was a member of New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Reverend Clark Phillips. Jannette was a past employee of Mississippi County Senior Citizens Center.
Jannette was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Emma Gibson, and one brother, John L. Sanders.
Jannette leaves to cherish her memories, three brothers, LC Sanders, Jr., Eugene Sanders and Mayor James (Joyce) Sanders all of Blytheville; five sisters, Dorothy Simmons of Albany, Ga.; JoAnn ( Ray) Daley of Jonesboro, Judia (Leon) Bowie of Houston, Texas; Idella Sanders also of Houston, Texas, and Bertha (Jesse) King of Blytheville; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Private funeral service will be conducted Saturday, April 18, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald-Horne Funeral Home. Pastor Clark Phillips will deliver the eulogy with burial to follow at Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery.
In compliance with the CDC, the Arkansas Funeral Directors Association and the Governor, only immediate family members are permitted to attend funeral services. We will be observing this order. This is necessary to protect the health of the family, the public and our staff.
