KIPP providing grab-and-go meals

KIPP Delta Public Schools will provide a grab-and-go style meal service free for any student 18 and under during school closure.

"You do not have to be a student of our schools to receive a meal," a press release reads. "Meals will be provided to students at distribution sites across our communities, including Helena-West Helena, Elaine, Marvell, Marianna, Forrest City, Osceola, and Blytheville."

During the week of March 16, distribution will take place on Tuesday and Thursday at the sites below. The Tuesday bag will include lunch and snack for Tuesday, breakfast, lunch, and snack for Wednesday, and breakfast and snack for Thursday. The Thursday bag will include lunch and snack for Thursday and breakfast, lunch, and snack for Friday.

Children must be present to receive a meal. All meals are to be taken off campus. Cafeterias will not be open to sit and eat. Meal delivery to families with extenuating circumstances will occur on a case-by-case basis. They will be reaching out to all KIPP Delta students individually in the coming days. Please let KIPP know if you have a need for meal delivery.

Meal service will be suspended during spring break (March 23-27). If the school closure extends beyond spring break, meal service will continue, with delivery days shifted to Mondays and Wednesdays. Monday bags will include lunch and snack for Monday, breakfast, lunch, and snack for Tuesday, and breakfast for Wednesday. Wednesday bags will include lunch and snack for Wednesday, breakfast, lunch, and snack for Thursday, and breakfast, lunch, and snack for Friday.
