John Quincy McCray
John Quincy McCray passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family at the age of 55. He was born March 29, 1964, in Blytheville to Edgar and Cora Pulley McCray. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.
Quincy leaves to forever cherish his memories, his wife, Alma McCray of the home; one son, Detrevion McCray of Jonesboro; two daughters, Ebonique Jenkins of McDonough, Ga., and Jelesia McCray of Blytheville; his father, Edgar McCray of Memphis, Tenn.; his mother, Cora Pulley also of Memphis, Tenn.; four brothers, Jerimiah Sharrode McCray of Memphis, Tenn., Anthony Hill of Benton Harbor, Mich., Tyrone McCray and Winston Burton, both of Blytheville; six sisters, Mousalla (Robert) Smith of Hattiesburg, Sherry Ann Ledet of Memphis, Tenn.; Ashunta McCray of Memphis, Tenn., Sharita (Jabari) Herron of Blytheville, Shanta (Reggie) Williams of Las Vegas, Nev., and Maketta Nelson of Aurora, Colo.; two grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, in the chapel of McDonald-Horne Funeral Home, 1207 South Division Street, Blytheville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church 1630 West Street, Blytheville, where Reverend Bennie Washington is the pastor. Reverend Frederick Clay, Sr. will deliver the eulogy and burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
McDonald-Horne Funeral Home is in charge of all services and arrangements.
