ARMOREL— The Armorel Tigers picked up their second victory on the season as they easily defeated the KIPP Blytheville Thunder Tuesday night, 56 -38.

The Tigers led KIPP 21-14 after the first quarter and led 31-23 at the half.

AHS held the Thunder to only four points in the third quarter and the Tigers led 45-27 heading into the final quarter.

Senior guard Quinn Crosskno led the way for the Tigers with a game high 14-points. Junior guard Hunter Holland chipped in 12 points and sophomore forward Jayce Fondren added nine points in the win.

Joe’mario Brown led the Thunder with 11 points.

The Junior Tigers came away with a 38- 23 victory in the junior high contest.

Caleb Brown led the way for AJHS with 11 points, including two three-pointers. Jake Byrd chipped in nine points and Jackson Welch added six points.

The Thunder had two players with points. Kiree Carter led the way with a game-high 17 points and Isiah Taylor chipped in six points.

Armorel Lady Tigers 52, KIPP Blytheville Lady Thunder 16

The Armorel Lady Tigers easily handled the KIPP Blytheville Lady Thunder Tuesday night, 52-16.

The Lady Tigers jumped out on a 20-0 run and didn’t look back.

AHS led 39-5 at the break.

The Lady Thunder, however, did lead one quarter as they outscored the Lady Tigers four to three in the final frame.

The Lady Tigers were led by Junior guard Mayson Carr and sophomore forward Abby Simmons who both racked up 16 points apiece. Senior guard Briley Miller added 11 points.

The Lady Thunder had three players with points on the night. Anyia Davis led the way with eight points, Pagni Smith chipped in six points and Alaysia Stewart added in two points.
