Wendell Hulen Gadberry
Wendell Hulen Gadberry, 82, of Manila, passed from this life Friday, Nov. 15, 2019, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Shirley, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mildred Bradford Gadberry and was raised in the Keiser/Osceola area before making his home in Manila. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from AIC Corporation of Blytheville, formerly Arkansas Industrial Electric. Wendell enjoyed working in his yard and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Manila.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennifer Crafton Banister; one granddaughter, Mindy Scott; one brother, Raymond Gadberry; and one sister, Geneva Eves.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Martha Ann Holland Gadberry of the home; two daughters, Diana Potts (Randy) of Baldwin, Miss., and Becky Davis of Thompsons Station, Tenn. He also leaves three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A gathering of family and friends was held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila. Other services were private.
