The annual Veterans Day Ceremony held in Blytheville will be moved from the Blytheville courthouse to the front lawn of Legion Post 24, because the courthouse is being renovated. The annual Veterans Day Ceremony held in Blytheville will be moved from the Blytheville courthouse to the front lawn of Legion Post 24, because the courthouse is being renovated. The ceremony will be held at 11 a.m., Nov. 11.

Mississippi County Veterans Service Officer Jim Dixon will offer the welcoming remarks.

Dr. Michael Williams will present the invocation and closing prayer.

The American Legion will raise the flag followed by the singing the Star Spangled Banner.

Dixon and Mississippi County Judge John Alan Nelson will present the Veteran of the Year honor.

This year's Veteran of the Year award will go to Jimmy E. Lowe.

Dan Ritchey will serve as the guest speaker.

Members of the American Legion will place the wreath and a gun salute and Taps will be by the Blytheville PD Honor Guard.

Kent Reed will release the doves as part of the ceremony as well.
