An individual who allegedly rammed a Blytheville patrol car during a chase was in Blytheville District Court Monday to face multiple charges.

Judge Shannon Langston issued a $50,000 bond for 56-year-old Robert Brown of Blytheville, who allegedly damaged the police vehicle on Sunday, Sept. 22.

According to Blytheville Police Department Capt. John Frazier, that day officers were dispatched to the area of 135 East McHaney Street in reference to an individual flashing a gun at someone.

The victim told police that Brown flashed a handgun at him and drove away in a white Cadillac Escalade. "Moments later officers were advised by dispatch that Brown was possibly on Sawyer Street," Frazier wrote in a press release. "Officers responded and observed the vehicle driving away. As they activated their lights the Cadillac took off failing to stop for officers. During the vehicle pursuit, Brown rammed into an officer’s police cruiser causing damage. The officers were able to box Brown in at that point and he was taken into custody. Officers did locate a handgun with ammunition inside the vehicle."
