Police seize pound of pot
Blytheville police confiscated a pound of marijuana and arrested Trinity Shivers on drug charges following a traffic stop Wednesday in the area of East Davis and Walker Park.
“I, Officer Norman, was in the area of East Davis and Walker Park watching the traffic at a house known for selling narcotics,” the police report reads. “Officer Caruthers informed me that there was a gold Ford F-150 leaving the residence that did not have any brake lights. I conducted a traffic stop on the truck at Laclede and Missouri for no brake lights. After explaining the reason for the stop I asked the driver to exit the vehicle and look at his tail lights. While standing behind the driver’s truck I asked him if there was anything illegal in the truck. The driver could not give me a yes or a no after asking several times. At that time I went to the passenger side of the truck and made contact with the front passenger later identified as Trinity Shivers. After asking several times Shivers advised me that he had a pound of marijuana. At that time I had the passenger exit the vehicle. Inside Shivers right waist line I located a green substance wrapped in clear plastic known to be a pound of marijuana. Shivers at that time shown me a email that appeared he was approved for an application for a medical marijuana card in Missouri. While speaking to Shivers he informed me that he had been buying marijuana from ‘Physco’ for several years. Shivers admitted to just buying it for $400.00 and getting fronted on the rest. Shivers was transported to the MCSO for booking.”
