Earl Ray Jones
Earl Ray Jones, 73, of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at his home in Blytheville. Earl was born in Pocahontas to the late Troy and Grace (Manis) Jones. He shared 42 years of marriage with the love of his life and best friend Winifred (Winnie) Jones. Earl was an avid fisherman throughout his life and he loved sharing his stories with everyone he encountered. His smile was warm and genuine, his laugh infectious, he never knew a stranger, and he would lend a helping hand to anyone with no more than a moment's notice. Earl loved his family more than anything.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, four brothers-in-law, Elmer Richardson, Norman Trott, Robert Burgan and Tom McCoy.
He is survived by his son, Tommy Jones (Carla Trammel) of Blytheville; three grandchildren, Colby Chailland (Brad) and Caitlyn Jones (Steven Duffy) of Blytheville and Christopher Jones (Lauren) of Jonesboro; their mother, Cecilia Jones; three great-grandchildren, Remington Kate Chailland, Paisley Elizabeth Duffy and Lillian Abigail Burnett; brother, John Jones (Deloris Williams) of Manila. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a host of long-time friends.
Earl’s final request has been honored by his family having a private Celebration of Life. Expressions of sympathy may be sent directly to his family.
