Alvin Charles “Pete” King
Alvin Charles “Pete” King was born Oct. 4, 1952, in Tyronza, to the late Isadore King, Sr. and the late Richie Lee Johnson King. He was a carpenter and a member of the True Light Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. King passed away on May 22, 2019, at the Heritage Square Nursing Center in Blytheville at the age of 66.
He was preceded in death by his father, Isadore King, Sr.; his mother, Richie Lee Johnson King; two brothers, LeFaye King and Isadore “Pop” King, Jr.; and six sisters, Arnita King, Maddie Lee Jackson, Pearline Bridges, Frances Ferguson, Erma York and Annie King-Smith.
He is survived by two brothers, Henry (Adaline) King, Sr. and J.C. King, both of Blytheville; two sisters, Arlethia “Crickett” Mitchell of East St. Louis, Ill., and Barbara “Bobbie” Bridges of Gary, Ind.; and a host of other family.
The visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville with the funeral immediately following at 2 p.m., Pastor Burton Furlow will be officiating. The burial will be held at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
