Harvey A. Stegall
Harvey A. Stegall, 87, of Blytheville, passed away April 29, 2019, at River Oaks Care Center in Steele, Mo. He was born March 12, 1932, in Steele, to Wilber Green and Effie White Stegall. He was a member of the Church of Christ and was a Navy veteran serving his country aboard an aircraft carrier during the Korean War. He worked at 1st National Bank for over 40 years and then SouthBank both in Blytheville. He was a graduate in 1971 of Southwestern School of Banking, was a member of the Optimist Club of Blytheville, worked with the Boy Scouts, loved the lake, enjoyed camping and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Stegall of the home; three sons, Allen Stegall (Kathy) of Frederick, Md., Mark Stegall (Pam) of Rogers and Brad Stegall (Carie) of Eddington, N.C.; three daughters, Ann Jarrett (Morris) of Blytheville, Miriam Ellis of Tennessee, and Margaret Parish (Jeff) of Blytheville; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilber and Effie Stegall; his wife, Joan Worrell Stegall; one brother, Joe Stegall; and three sisters, Lucille Johnson, Robbie Bingham and Johnnie Miller.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the Church of Christ in Steele, Mo., with John Monday officiating. A private burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until service time.
Pallbearers include Allen Stegall, Mark Stegall, Brad Stegall, Jeff Parish, Andy Stegall and Scott Stegall.
