Nucor Steel defeated American Legion Post 24 11-4 Tuesday night in three innings of Cal Ripken Major League baseball action a the Blytheville Youth Sportsplex.

Nucor pitcher Jackson Welch earned the complete game win.

Leading Nucor offensively were Torrence Spinks (double), Welch (single) and Courtney Rodgers (two RBIs).

Leading the American Legion were Grant Glintborg (single), Connor Whitehead ( single) and Brayden Burnham (single).

Minor League

Sports Hall 9, Allison Enterprise 7

Sports Hall defeated Allison Enterprise 9-7 in a makeup game Tuesday night after Monday night’s game was postponed due to issues with the lights.

Coy Aldridge picked up the win for Sports Hall on the mound and Beau Nixon closed the game.

Leading Sports Hall offensively were Nixon (double) and Aldridge (home run).

Leading Allison Enterprise offensively were Jackson Green (double), Moe Watson (single), Hunner Gann (double) and Brayten Holdaway (triple).

Allison Enterprise 14, Hodge Dental 4

Allison Enterprise defeated Hodge Dental 14-4 in the regularly scheduled game Tuesday night. Hunner Gann picked up the victory on the mound.

Allison Enterprise was led offensively by Brayten Holdaway (home run and triple), Mason Woods (two doubles), Gann (double) and Cayden Kelly (double and triple).

Hodge Dental was led offensively by Albeyo Gonzalez’s single.

Rookie League

Family Eye Care 9, Rose Pharmacy 5

Both teams came out swinging and posted four runs in the first but Rose Pharmacy’s bats cooled down as Family Eye Care scored two runs in the second and three runs in the fifth. Rose Pharmacy tried to rally but only scored one run in the last inning to fall 9-5.

Leading Family Eye Care offensively were Robert Dean (single, single and double) and Mason Riggs (three singles).

Leading Rose Pharmacy offensively were Easton Welch (double and two singles) and Jeremy Thomas (two singles).

Holiday Inn 6, Farmers Bank 5

Farmers Bank (FBT) jumped out to a 2-0 lead but Holiday Inn scored four runs in the top of the fifth to lead 4-2. FBT tied the game up, however, with a run in the bottom of the fifth and the bottom of the sixth to take the game into extra innings.

Holiday Inn scored two runs in the top of the eighth on a two RBI single by Sam Henry Jackson, and FBT tried to rally but came up short as they were defeated 6-5.

Also leading Holiday Inn offensively were Braxton Tilley (home run and single) and Gabe Gonzalez (two singles).

FBT was led offensively by Jaxon Powell (two singles and a double), Kelso Halsell (home run and two singles).

Softball

16-U

Rotary 9, Denso Heat 1

Rotary defeated Denso Heat 9-1 in the first game Monday night of 16-U softball.

Abgail Edwards was the winning pitcher for Rotary.

Collecting hits for Rotary were Leia Thompson (double), Kyleigh Hinson (triple) and Lexi Wyatt ( single).

TSN 10, Farmers Bank 0

Thomas, Speight and Noble (TSN) defeated Farmers Bank (FBT) in the late game Tuesday night 10-0 at the Sportsplex.

TSN’s Aubrey Hill led the charge on the mound as she struck out seven FBT batters on the night.

Leading TSN offensively were Abby Jones (single), Phoenix Simmons (two doubles), Leilah Prude (single), Hallee Griggs (single) and Nataleigh Humblet ( single).

Farmers Bank and Trust was led offensively by Molly Gay’s single.
