Riverside used a seven run sixth inning to break open a close game and handed Melbourne a 10-4 defeat Wednesday afternoon on the road.

Katie Towery went the distance to gain the win, pitching seven innings, allowing four runs, two earned, while scattering six hits. The sophomore righthander fanned five and walked one. Towery helped herself at the plate with three hits and three runs scored.
Hannah Shinall cracked a pair of singles, had two RBI and scored twice. Ella Servadio singled twice, drove in a run and scored once. Carson Smith, Mallory Felton and Alexis Boatman all laced RBI singles and scored a run apiece. Grace Puckett belted an RBI single while Bailey Fisher had an RBI and Anna Mason scored a run.
