Manila traveled to Piggott Thursday and brought home an 18-4 victory over the Lady Mohawks in 3A-3 conference softball action.
Olivia May earned the victory, working six innings, allowing four unearned runs on just four hits. May struck out five and did not walk a batter.
Beth Rawson slammed a homerun and drove in four runs to lead the Lady Lion 11 hit attack. Rawson also singled and scored twice. Ali Smith had three hits, drove in two runs and scored once. Sydney Adcock singled three times, had an RBI and scored three runs. Ashlyn Jolly cracked an RBI single and scored three runs, Kara Watts laced an RBI single and scored twice while Jessica Parrish singled and scored two runs.
Grace Wilkins had three RBI and scored twice while Kasidy Tate crossed the plate twice. Ann Marie Goff scored a run.
The Lady Lions played host to Trumann Tuesday and fell 15-3 to the Lady Wildcats.
Mallory Mincy had four hits to lead the Lady Wildcats. Mincy singled twice, clubbed a pair of doubles, had three RBI and scored twice. Karsen Overshine singled, doubled, tripled, had four RBI and scored three runs while Sydney Callahan singled, doubled, tripled, drove in a run and scored three times. Mallory Hartley had three hits and two RBI.
Devin Overshine picked up the win. May was the loser, pitching five innings, allowing nine earned runs on 14 hits.
Brailey Hampton led Manila with three singles and a run scored. Watts belted a pair of doubles and had two RBI while Smith banged out an RBI single and scored a run. Rawson singled and scored a run while Jolly had a base hit.
The Lady Lions began the week losing 17-11 at Nettleton Monday afternoon. The Lady Raiders out-hit Manila 25-18.
Manila jumped to a 7-0 lead in the top of the first inning and held a 10-2 advantage entering the bottom of the third. Nettleton exploded for eight runs to tie the game and tacked on six more in the fourth inning to put the game away.
Wilkins tripled and singled twice, had an RBI and scored two runs to lead Manila.
Watts had three singles and scored a run. Parrish clubbed a double and a triple, drove in a run and scored two runs. Hampton cracked a pair of doubles, had two RBI and scored a run while Kayla Parker singled, doubled, had an RBI and scored a run.
