A 17-year-old has surrendered to Blytheville police in connection with Monday night's slaying of 35-year-old Travis Pearson at Pear Tree Apartments, according to Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson.
Around 4:30 p.m. Monday, Blytheville officers responded to a shooting at Pear Tree Apartments in the 800 block of Ruddle Road, finding Pearson deceased.
Pearson was a resident of the apartment complex.
Thompson said on Tuesday "information was developed in the case that led to the issuance a warrant for Murder in the 1st degree for the arrest of a 17-year-old Blytheville juvenile."
"On Wednesday, the juvenile wanted in connection with the shooting death of Pearson surrendered themselves to Officers of the Blytheville Police Department. No bond has been set at this time," Thompson said. "We thank the citizens of Blytheville who worked with our officers to help resolve this case in a timely manner."
