MANILA— The Gosnell Lady Pirates advanced their win streak to two games after defeating the Manila Lady Lions 52-36 Thursday night on the road in a 3A-3 conference matchup.
The Lady Pirates led 20-14 at the half after jumping out to a 13-7 lead.
GHS outscored the Lady Lions 32-22 in the second half.
Senior center Kaylee Miller paced the Lady Pirates with a game-high 18 points. Miller went 8-for-10 from the line. Classmate Alyssa Griffin drained three three-pointers in the victory as she chipped in 13 points.
Brailey Hampton led the Lady Lions with 11 points.
Hampton scored all 11 points in the second half. Meg Gifford chipped in 10 points, including going four-for-seven from the line.
The Lady Pirates were also victorious in the junior high game as they defeated the Junior Lady Lions 42-25.
Madison Hitchcock, Macy Darby and Olivia May all chipped in six points, a piece, for MJHS.
TT Howard led the way for GJHS with a game-high 17 points. Ty Young chipped in nine points.
The Lady Pirates will travel to Osceola Monday night for their final regular season game.
The Lady Lions will host the Riverside Lady Rebels Tuesday night.
