On Wednesday, agents of the 2nd Judicial District Drug Task Force (East) and officers of the Blytheville Police Department executed a search warrant at 1001 North 2nd Street, Apartment No. 102. According to Sergeant Branton Hall, more than 10 ounces of methamphetamine, digital scales, and an AR-15 styled semi-automatic rifle were located during the search. Hall stated those arrested during the search were Aleishia Holmes, 21, Damion Thompson, 20, and James Holmes, 18. Hall further stated the methamphetamine has a street value of more than $10,000.

James Holmes and Aleishia Holmes are both charged with possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm.

Damion Thompson faces those charges as well, along with possession of a firearm by certain person.

Special Agent in Charge Bobby Ephlin stated in a press release, “The 2nd DTF East is committed to continuing our effort to negatively impact the supply of methamphetamine and other illegal drugs in Mississippi County. This investigation is the result of cooperation between the community, the Blytheville Police Department, the Osceola Police Department, and our agents.”

Ephlin added the investigation is ongoing and other arrests are expected.

Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson commended the efforts of his officers and the Special Agents of the 2nd DTF East, stating, “Their hard work in furthering these investigations is an essential part of our continuing effort to reduce crime in our city.”
