The Gosnell Pirates dropped a 56-53 decision to host Trumann on Friday night.
Trumann’s Ben Turner poured in a game-high 37 points, including scoring 27 in the first half.
Gosnell trailed 17-16 at the end of the first quarter and 30-29 at halftime. The Pirates held a narrow 47-46 lead going into the fourth quarter.
Jordan Lewis led Gosnell with 16 points and five rebounds, while JyDarian Young added 11 and Jaquon Partee nine.
The Junior Pirates also fell to Trumann, 57-24. The Junior Wildcats led 28-10 at halftime and 42-22 going into the fourth quarter. Daniel Sullivan led Gosnell with nine points.
