Charles Burt, Jr.

Charles Burt, Jr. of Blytheville was born July 7, 1943 in Sanford, Fla., to the late Charles Burt, Sr. and the late Mae Bell Bryant Burt. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired welder. Mr. Burt passed away on Jan. 23, 2019, at the Great River Medical Center in Blytheville at the age of 75.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ella Seay Burt; one daughter, Cynthia Burt; two brothers, Prince Albert Burt and John Bryant; and one sister, Annie Mae Hatcher.

He is survived by two sons, Juba Burt of Dawson, Ga., and Tearel Jones of Okahumpka, Fla.; three daughters, Valorie (Carter) Burt-Steadman of Okahumpka, Fla., Camela Burt of Dawson, Ga., and Camisha (Marcus) Smith of Valdesta, Ga.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at The Holy Temple Church of The Living God in Okahumpka, Fla.
