Lana Kay DeWitt
Lana Kay Dewitt, 73, of Monette, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2019 at Monette Manor. She was born Oct. 27, 1945, at Hancock to the late Leahmon and Lois Bennett Baker. Lana was a homemaker who also worked at a nursing home and restaurant. She enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and camping for weeks on end. She loved her children and grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death her husband, Hayden Dewitt; twin sister, Linda Carmichael; and brother, Loyle Baker.
She is survived by her sons and their wives, Allen and Nikki Dewitt of Monette and Aaron and Brandy Dewitt of Black Oak; grandchildren, Michael Dewitt, Keshawn Dewitt, Eva Dewitt and Tobias Dewitt, all of Black Oak, and Logan Dewitt (Rachel) and Laci Dewitt, all of Monette; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life was 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Eddie Dunigan officiating. Interment followed at Monette Memorial Cemetery.
The family received friends from noon until 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Honored to serve as pallbearers were Dick Pace, Danny Dunigan, Terry Edwards, Aaron Dewitt, Logan Dewitt and Allen Dewitt, and honorary pallbearers were members of the Black Oak Church of Christ.
