Police have recovered an ATM stolen from Gary's Food Mart in Memphis and arrested two suspects in the case.

According to Blytheville Police Department Lt. John Frazier, Blytheville detectives received a call form Memphis authorities on Friday advising they had recovered the ATM.

"They also advised detectives that they had made an arrest on two individuals who were committing similar crimes in their city over the holidays," said Frazier, the BPD CID commander. "Blytheville detectives then traveled to Memphis to conduct interviews on Roderick Johnson and Larico Woods, both from Memphis. Both suspects gave full confessions to this crime. They stated they traveled to Blytheville from Memphis with the purpose of committing this and other crimes, but only committed this one, and then went directly back to Memphis. There are other suspects in this case and this is still an ongoing investigation."

Around 1:17 a.m. Dec. 19, thieves drove a vehicle into Gary's Food Mart and stole the ATM, which was knocked loose when the vehicle rammed the store front.

"Video surveillance shows that the incident only took approximately a minute from the time the vehicle rams the store, to the time the theft occurred," Frazier said earlier this month. "The ATM was owned by the store and it is unknown how much money, if any, was in the machine."
