Bernard Wesley King
Bernard Wesley King was born on February 29, 1968 to Edward Powell and Gloria King in Brooklyn, NY. He is preceded in death by his mother Gloria King and grandparents Cleo and (Jesse) King and Carl (Louise) Powell.
He was a longtime member of Open Door House of Prayer in Blytheville. Bernard loved to sing and could be found singing oldies including Micheal Jackson and Luther Vandross. He was friendly and enjoyed taking photos and walking through the neighborhood. He was a well-loved resident of Crestpark Nursing Home in later years and often helped the nurses and aides with tasks.
Bernard leaves to cherish his memories two brothers, Hassan (Candisa) Powell of Blytheville and Anwar (Wendy) Powell Olive Branch, MS, one sister Sarayra Powell of Blytheville, his father Edward Powell of Brookland, NY, five uncles Kenneth (Sandra) King, Jesse (Bertha) King and Carl (Mae) King all of Blytheville, Ivan (Doris) King of Pine Bluff, AR, and Vernon King of Richmond, VA, nieces and nephews Jacolby, Candasha, Jacalla, Evan, Caven, Sareece Kayden, a host of cousins and other relatives and many friends.
