Gertrude Garrett Collins

Mrs. Gertrude Garrett Collins was born March 28, 1929 in Pontotoc, MS to the late John Wash Garrett and Eugenia White Garrett. She departed this life on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro at the age of 89.

Mrs. Collins was a homemaker.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband John Collins of Osceola, four sons, Rev. E.H. Garrett of Marianna, AR, Edward Washington Garrett of Jonesboro, Michael Ramon DePreist & Tykel Dupree Robinson both of Osceola., seven daughters Luegean Ford of Luxora, Mary Alice Garrett Parks & Jessie Mae Garrett both of Burlington, IA, Opal Louise Turner of West Memphis, Brenda Lynn Speed of Bryant, AR, Littie Mae Crockett of Osceola and Gwen Garrett of Atlanta, GA, 44 grandchildren and five generations of great grandchildren. She also leaves a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:55 a.m. at Bethlehem M.B. Church in Osceola. Service will follow at noon. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
