Harmon Edward Cook
Harmon Edward Cook, 82, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 at his home.
Harmon was born in Gosnell to Woodrow and Tessie Potter Cook. He was a retired farmer and attended Gosnell Baptist Church. He served his country with honor in the United States Army Reserves and was a lifelong resident of Blytheville. Harmon was a former salesman at Tri-State Auto and the former sales manager at Goodyear Tire. Harmon served on the Gosnell City Council and the Gosnell planning commission for many years. He was a former board member of Farm Bureau and Cotton Growers Gin. Harmon was involved with youth sports, specifically pee wee basketball and little league baseball. He coached pee wee basketball for several years. Harmon was an excellent basketball player himself when in high school. Harmon loved to fish and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was a devoted father and son.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Harmon leaves his son, Gregg Cook and his wife Amy of Helena, Arkansas; one grandson, Wyatt Peters of Fayetteville; and special friend, Glenda Kraft of Gosnell.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 6th at 3:00 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Eddie Clemons officiating. Entombment will be private.
