Riverside suffered a pair of losses in senior high basketball action last week, falling to Crowley’s Ridge Academy Tuesday night and Ridgefield Christian on Friday, both at Lake City.

CRA posted a 58-53 win over the Rebels behind the 15-point performance of freshman Jake Tillery, as the Falcons picked up their first win of the season. Will Layne and Bennett Austin chipped in 14 and 13 points respectively for CRA, which held a 26-25 edge at the half and a 44-41 advantage heading into the final frame.

Gage Crews pumped in 15 points to pace Riverside. Steven Stroud and Justin Berry chipped in 10 points apiece for the Rebels.

Riverside took the junior high contest 50-27. Carl Galllapoo pumped in 22 points to pace the Rebels while John Marcus Shinall added 13 more.

Cole Oxley and Ryder McBride scored 14 points each for CRA.

Riverside won the seventh grade game 36-11.

Ridgefield Christian downed the Rebels 65-48. The Warriors put four players in double figures, led by Landon Mason’s 16-point performance. Garrett Finnicum and Elijah Ellenburg pitched in 12 points apiece while Alex Roark added 10.

Stroud led the Rebels with 15 points, M.J. Wilkinson scored 13 while Crews added 10 points.

In junior high play, Riverside pulled out a thrilling 54-50 double overtime win over the Warriors. Shinall paced the Rebels with 20 points. Gallapoo tallied 14 while Trae Barnes chipped in 10.

Tyler Fronzaglio topped Ridgefield Christian with 15 while Will Archer scored 13.

Riverside will resume play Friday night at Armorel.
