Charley Lee Taylor
Charley Lee Taylor, 69, of rural Bono, passed from this life on Friday, October 12, 2018, at his home of natural causes.
Charley was born in Osceola and lived much of his life there. He then lived in Harrisburg and Jonesboro before moving to the Bono area 20 years ago. He was a 1968 graduate of Osceola High School and attended Arkansas State University and Mississippi County Community College where he earned an Associates degree.
Charley was a U.S. Marines veteran. Following military service, Charley rejoined American Greetings, Inc. in Osceola where he was employed over 40 years, retiring as a factory supervisor. He enjoyed fishing and working with his hands, building things. He also liked refinishing furniture and other keepsakes. Charley was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore "Skinny" and Louise Taylor Sims.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Taylor of the home;
2 daughters and sons-in-law: Paula and Lee Tiffany of Blytheville and Whitney and Greg Raney of Jonesboro;
4 sisters and brothers-in-law: Margaret Hunt and Helen and Randy Chittenden, all of Marion, and Peggy and Tommy Graf and Rosetta and Ricky Jordan, all of Proctor;
3 granddaughters: Taylor Tiffany, Sloane Raney and Hannah Howard; and
1 great granddaughter, Logan Howard.
A funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Minister Carolyn Williams officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will precede the funeral service from 5:00-6:30 p.m. in Emerson Chapel.
